Lady Wildfire: Warrior Princess

I've always mentioned in the past that pregnancy care is one of my favorite massage treatments that I love to do. I always feel like I'm treating two people at the same time. The calmness and mental relaxation that the Mother-To-Be experiences causes a ripple effect which then passes onto the baby in the womb.

In my 10 years of experience as a Massage Therapist, I have had the opportunity to treat over 100 pregnancy clients, each which are innate in their own special way. But this story about little Amelia Skye, 'aka Lady Wildfire', is one of the most unique cases I've ever had the pleasure of being a part of.

In September 2019, one of my regular clients, Stacey, came to me for spiritual guidance and support for her well-being during a very difficult time in her life. Out of respect to Stacey, I have chosen to disclose the personal details. Although I can safely say that during her experience, it had caused a great deal of emotional stress and anxiety which no mother should ever have to endure.

I've always been a firm believer of looking for the positives within the negatives, no matter how big or small. It is within those times of complete hopelessness that we must hold onto our hope. It is how we prove to ourselves that we can conquer our adversity, just like a phoenix who rises above the ashes with determination, courage and strength. With the aid of Remedial Massage Therapy and Reiki, Stacey gradually started to show signs of improvement with her unwavering commitment to maintain her wellness as whole in Mind, Body and Spirit.

Fast forward to March 2020, it was as if by magic that fate decided that Stacey needed an extra special person on her team to help heal her heartache and blessed her with the pregnancy of her second daughter. Thanks to Amelia Skye, who I've now aptly nicknamed 'Lady Wildfire', helped her mother reclaim and re-ignite the fighting spirit Stacey once forgot she had.

Everyday, I feel so honoured that Stacey chose me to be a part of her pregnancy journey by holding a safe space of healing for her as her therapist and now as a friend. To be able to finally see and hold Amelia Skye in person is still very surreal to me.

I sometimes question: how is it possible that a tiny baby such as Amelia, manage to defy the odds and possess such cosmic strength?!

But then I stop myself and realize that there are just some things in life that we cannot explain through science and we should just accept them for what they simply are:

A Miracle.
